29th-31st July Arab national Championships Me and the boys made the journey to the arab nationals for the 3 days. I was just glad to get there this year after missing last year with yehudi hurting himself whist loading to go. So frist box was ticked. Thursday was the day of the Novice Ridden Junior Gelding Class with a class of 9 forward Rupert went well in the big ring nothing seem to phase him being brought in 8th to start with went well for the judge and got moved up to 6th so I was very pleased with him. He has a lot more growing up to do but for a horse that only started work properly in Feb we couldnt ask much more from this boy. for his 4th Ridden show.
Friday was the Day of only Dressage with Yehudi who had a class of 26! Yehudi did a lovely test with getting a mark of 66% and getting 5th, I thought that was a very good out of 26.
Saturday was the turn of Yehudi again for the open Hoys ridden Senior Gelding, he rode his socks off and was placed 5th in a big class. So all in all a very good Nationals.

Bay very sweet this time Called Hurstpark Lady Ga ga, bella to her mates. Another stunner and going to do well in the show ring. After all that in the morning I laoded the two boys up for Three counties show, where the good news didnt stop, Rupert in the inhand gleding won his class which was great. Yehudi 6th Hoys open Gelding
Rupert 6th Novice Ridden Gelding
We took both boys to midland arab spring show.
Rupert was doing his frist ridden we decided as he has only be working undersaddle since January so we would do the pre novice ridden with him, he was very well behaved and like he has been doing it for years and won his class.
Yehudi went in the open ridden gelding and went lovely for me and the judge and walked away with 1st. so a good day for both geldings 2 red ones!
4th April North Staffs Arab Spring Show
Well I made the journey up the motorway to North Staffs for there spring show and god the weather we had its suppose to be spring not very cold and wet!
But the two boys enjoyed there 1st time out for the season Yehudi was a little fresh in his open ridden class and was 2nd and qualified for British Arabian Champioships and British Amateur Home Produced Arabain Championship in September.
Rupert I showed in the in hand Gelding class where i had to run for my life! He got 2nd as well and also qualified for both championships in September.
Yehudi Open Ridden Gelding 2nd
Ruppert Inhand 4year old and over Gelding 2nd
I h been working hard over the last few months at boot camp! Me and the two boys have been away from home to have the lovely use of indoor school and a big outdoor school to get the boys fit and ready to go out and work hard this season.
In March Ruppert went out for his frist ridden outting and did very well warmed up with all the other horses and went in the indoor to do his test walk, trot and canter very well. coming out with 55% and 6th place not bad for his first time out. I am now looking to bring him out under saddle a lot earlier then i thought in to the pre novice classes and later in the season I will take him in to novice classes. I wills till be doing some inhand classes as well through the year. Looking forward to the season starting now!
Also in March I took Yehudi out for the 1st time this year to do dressage and he did a lovely test and wow me and every one with a score of 70.5% and won his class which was a big class and a shock to me as he hasnt been out competing this year so to come out and do that was very good. I am looking forward to our first open season this year to see how we get on. Watch this space 1st show of the season is 4th April at North Staffs arab show!
