October was a big month for me with Yehudi competing at the Horse of the Year show. This was the best experiance of my life so far the buzz you get when riding in that arena was amazing! I wanted to do it all over again its over so quickly we didnt get in the top line up but it was the experiance we were looking for. Yehudi came to me back in September 2008 and I am so proud to have had this horse on my yard I have taken him from not being shown under saddle coming out in 2009 and winning most of his Novice classes, moving up to open and Hoys classes in 2010 taken a Championship at the Three counties to this year 2011 where we only had a few outings but one being where he won at The royal bath and West show, quilfiing for Horse of the Year show Ridden Arab Gelding of the Year and getting Reserve Champion. Also going to the Badminton Dressage Championships and being the only arab in our class and getting a good score. I was really proud to have had Yehudi on the Yard and he has now gone home to his mummy who will carry on to enjoy him. He will be missed here.

August brought us going a little out of our confort zone and we decided to take Yehudi to UKIAHS at Towerlands, something i have always wanted to do, we always go and watch every year and knowing this was the last one at towerlands so why not, he was a good boy with all the people and plants etc in the ring, he didnt give his best of rides this time, we did have a 7 hour journey the nigth before to get there so can let him off a little we ended up 7th which i think is good for our frist time there.

July we did two compertions with Yehudi, We had the Badminton Dressage Championships, we travelled to Badminton and got to ride on the cross country course to warm up which was a treat in its self, there were 61 in our class so didnt hold much hope for any good marks, but he did a lovly test with getting a mark of 69% from Judge one and 74% from judge two. We ended up 12th out of the 61 which i think was a very good for our frist time at a champioship dressage.

PIctures to follow and Video is on the video page.

July we also had The Arab Nationals at Malvern, Yehudi had Dressage on the thursday again giving a good show and getting another score of 74% and coming away with 2nd. Saturday brought the ridden open gelding class where he decided he had been to well behaved this week and woudl but a good buck in, in the gallop naughty boy! gave an ok ride for the judge and moved up to 8th

Me and Yehudi did the journey down the road to The Royal Bath and West show, to do the Ridden horse of the year qualifier for Gelding Arab. We had a good class of 11, after the go round we were pulled in top and he went out for his ride, hold my breath and not watching the whole way round I was told he did every thing he should of done when asked, then strip him and went in front of the conformation judge. All done the wait was horrible waiting for all the others to be ridden and looked at, the time came for the walk round and the waiting to see if your called back in first! On this time we were. I cant tell you how over joyed i was and the tears sure showed it! I was so happy to have qualified for the horse of the year show. its a really wired feeling and still hasnt sunk in!

please have a look at our video page for the lap of honour!
